Total Productivity Maintenance with TPM|ASSIST

Ensuring the availability of machinery and equipment, the execution of specified continuous activities by the operating personnel becomes more important. TPM is a concept to increase the efficiency of the complete system by transferring the responsibility for certain services to the production staff.

With the aid of active partizipation of employees the "total productive maintenance" constantly improves the complete productivity of a system.

The success of TPM Total Productivity Maintenance – is depending on the fact that the necessary measures be unequivocally assigned, processes can be carried into execution, the implementation will be monitored and reported back in time, and results are available in evaluable form.

TPM|ASSIST complies with these targets.

TPM|ASSIST consists of three software modules.

1. TPM planning

In the system every machine is registered with the TPM relevant components.

All TPM activities with their execution intervals are also registered. Explanatory documents (manuals, videos, etc.) can be stored for these activities. They are assigned to individual calendar days. The system extrapolates the planning based on the stored intervals. Calculated instants of time may be corrected by hand at any time.

Over desired TPM period the plan can be printed or displayed as a formular on acquisition screen.

2. TPM detection

The TPM plans stick either as a formular on the machine, usually as a weekly or as a monthly plan, or they can be filled out as a daily schedule on screen.

The user can acknowledge the activity here. By default, 3 feedbacks are available:

  • engineered, without problems
  • design experiment with difficulties
  • not done

Alternative “formular”:

The formular is filled out with a Digipen. The technology enables digitally to transmit the content of data written on the formular in the TPM|ASSIST system. It is advantageous that users do not need any input or getting used to.

Alternative “screen”:

A tablet PC can be used to collect useful information. The advantage is that daily schedules are displayed and the activities can be supported with explanatory documents.

3. TPM evaluation

With the last reported data, this is a possibility of different evaluations.

Detailed error analysis

If the data are available, they can be analyzed up to the level of component parts.

All results can be exported as an Excel file.
